  • Sauces are the best part! Everything is delicious and I love that the fried chicken is gluten free since that’s hard to come by. The people there are helpful and friendly despite the pressure of the crowd. Even though it’s usually busy I’ve not had trouble finding a seat when I’ve gone. Take out is easy too. I do pickup and it’s always ready within 15 minutes. Haven’t tried the gluten free tres leches cake yet but I really want to.

  • So amazing. I had been wanting to come here for a while after seeing ppl online talk about the gluten-free fried chicken (my moms sake). Made sure to get a good diverse spread of things. Well worth it. Super affordable. Everything was executed well. Ordered the lemon turmeric fried chicken, the spicy berbere fried chicken, the chickpea side salad, the greens, fries, I think we ordered 3 of the sauces but he gave us all 4 anyway, a turmeric honey lemonade, and a hibiscus mint iced tea. Everything was amazing. The difference between the chicken flavors is very distinguishable physically; the difference in actual flavor is more subtle but definitely stands out differently in each bite, but thats what made it delicious; some bites had a little kick and some a little smokiness, some bites had a bigger punch of lemon, and other were herby. The berbere isnt spicy to me but a sensitive palate may feel some heat. Super crispy and fresh. The greens are tender and garlicky. The chickpea salad is fresh, a nice palate cleanser. The drinks were refreshing and not too sweet, we ordered another of each to go. The fries were well flavored and not over or under salted. Everything came out in good timing as well for having a mostly steady number of customers. My mom also ordered some chicken tibs to go. Also very good. Most tender tibs I've had from an ethiopian spot. The decor is cute and done with some discernment. Oftentimes, in small businesses, u start looking around, and things are a little cringy or haphazardly done/hanging on for dear life and not the cleanest. This place was spotless, bathroom included, and you could tell someone with some sense helped bring it together. Staff were very polite.

  • Everything I’ve had here is great! The chicken is super crispy and juicy, and the drinks and dipping sauces are all good too. I got a chicken stew with injera yesterday, which was filling and flavorful. Can’t wait to try more of their menu! Also the surrounding area is pretty and nice to walk in, and parking is always free and easy.

  • I think my husband found this spot on TikTok and we both wanted to try it next time we were in Philly. We shared: - Half Chicken, Lemon Turmeric - Half Chicken, Spicy Berbere The fried chicken was fantastic. I loved both seasonings. The spicy was probably my favorite. It wasn't all that spicy, but it was flavorful. If you like fried chicken, I'd highly recommend checking this spot out.

  • My friends love this place and, despite the high expectations they set, it really was excellent. I had the sandwich with chicken perfectly fried in Teff. I thought the berbere sauce might be too spicy for me but it was just right. I want to go back to try the wrap with the reportedly delicious garlic yogurt sauce.

  • I’ll have to come back when I’m hungry I forced myself to come out here since I’ve wanted to try for few years. Had the half chicken, collard greens n Mac n cheese all of which seemed under seasoned but idk the chicken was good n while I wish for more heat I forgot to add sauces. Was hoping the collard greens would have ham hock but did not and was kind of blandish and Mac n cheese was ok wished for more cheese lol but I’ll have to come back for the doro bet which I’m told is spicy. I got the sweet kerkede was too sweet for me this day lol. I should have went with first gut call of the wings and doro bet. Nice staff and good service.
